About the project

The Challenge

The school lacked a consistent supply of clean and safe water. Students were forced to carry water from home or walk kilometers to fetch water. The water was also contaminated as students and teachers occasionally suffered from waterborne diseases.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation through the Ndoto Zetu initiative handed over a 10, 000-liter water tank at a cost of KES 100,000.

The Impact

The tank is facilitating harvesting and storage of clean and safe water. Students no longer need to carry water from home and can fully utilize their time for school work.
