About the project

The Challenge

The dispensary lacked equipment for efficient service delivery. The equipment included medical kits and furniture. The staff had to commute for several kilometers to town to do basic office functions. On the medical front, the dispensary lacked laboratory equipment which meant patients could not be tested and diagnosed properly.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated furniture and medical kits at a cost of KES 500, 000. The items included a photocopy machine, a cabinet, 5 office chairs, 5 computers, a table and a fridge. For medical equipment, a glucometer, a centrifuge and a microscope.

The Impact

Service delivery at the dispensary will improve with the items donated for the staff and patients visiting the hospital.
