About the project

The Challenge

Pupils were forced to trek for long distances in search of water. Fetching water was also a waste of students’ school time. Safety of the water was not guaranteed as the students suffered from water borne diseases time to time.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated a water tank at a cost of KES 175,000.

The Impact

Students no longer need to carry water from home or go to fetch water as there is a steady supply of water in the school. The pupils can now utilize their study time to the fullest.
