About the project
The youth group which has twenty members, was formed in Kiambu County with an aim of creating a platform that would promote self-growth and community development. They were involved in vegetable farming, poultry farming and fishing. However, an additional source of income to support the members as well as boost the group’s savings was needed.
Safaricom Foundation, through the Ndoto Zetu, initiative donated an incubator machine worth KES 100,000 that will facilitate hatching and growing of poultry.
The new project is expected to create more revenue from the sales of poultry as well as attract an increase in the group’s membership.
