About the project

The Challenge

Safaricom Foundation recently donated food hampers to the residents as they were going for days without food in an extent of sourcing food from garbage areas. Additionally, there was a fire crisis that caused extensive damage, loss of property and displacement for over 200 families.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated sewing machines at a cost of KES 100,000.

The Impact

The members are in a position to empower themselves through the talents of design. Income generated will increase circulation of money in the group hence become self-sufficient and able to support their families and the community at large.
