About the project

The Challenge

Since the construction of the school, lack of furniture was a challenge especially to pupils who had special needs because they opted to the use plastic chairs which were in a dilapidated state, compromising their sitting posture. Writing space and the observance of social distance as a measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19 were also comprised.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation, through the Ndoto Zetu initiative donated 50 lockers and chairs worth KES 100, 000.

The Impact

The pupils are comfortable and able to observe social distancing in the wake of COVID 19 pandemic. It is expected that the academic standards of the school will be uplifted.
