About the project

The Challenge

The football club lacked proper sporting gear where they had no kits to wear during football tournaments. Some of the players went into football matches bare foot exposing them to injuries. The team’s morale was also low when they participated in tournaments.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation through the Ndoto Zetu initiative supported the team with new football kits which included jerseys, shorts, socks and shoes at a cost of KES 50,000.

The Impact

The under-12 team is benefitting from these kits in that they are playing more confidently and are no longer embarrassed to participate in tournaments. The team members are also motivated to grow their passion their passion in academics as well.
