About the project
In efforts to ensure the interest of special needs pupils was met, the school faced limitations such as poor sanitation in toilets, old and worn out furniture and lack of ramps that would enable students with disabilities to access the school.
Safaricom Foundation put up structures worth KES 845, 956. They included access ramps, two accessible toilets, and renovated classroom floors.
The structures are ensuring that students with special needs have an easier time when studying. It is also expected that there will be an increase in enrolment of pupils with special needs.
