About the project
The pupil’s increasing population had overwhelmed the school’s resources resulting to congestion in classes. Learning was a struggle because of crowding in the rooms. The environment was not promoting social distancing which is mandatory to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Safaricom Foundation’s ALP programme handed over a constructed classroom, 25 lockers and 25 chairs at a cost of KES 1,097,000.
The new facility has relieved crowding in classes and has given room for learning activities. Pupils are now assured that their health will be secured as they can now maintain social distancing in class. Additionally, the new facelift has already attracted new enrollments.
