About the project

The Challenge

Due to shortage of learning materials especially course books, the school was recording poor academic performance and this was affecting its enrollment and reputation in Samia Sub-County. Moreover, it was challenging for teachers to offer classes for course work as well as remedial lessons.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation’s Ndoto Zetu initiative donated course books and revision books worth KES 100,000.

The Impact

The students have been exposed to a wide variety of books for research and revision. Access to the reading material has improved the academic scores as well as uplifting the teaching standards of the school. Parents are also confident with the school’s ability to offer quality education hence seeking for admission slots.
