About the project

The Challenge

The school has students who live with disability. Some pupils had reached the exit stage but did not find employment opportunities despite their training. Therefore, the school needed to be equipped so that students maximize on their skills.

The Intervention

Safaricom Foundation through the Ndoto Zetu initiative supported the school with 10 sewing machines worth KES 100,000.

The Impact

The sewing machines have enabled the school to train the students to be self-sufficient even as they leave school. They will also learn to be dependent and not reliant on their parents or caregivers.
