Lack of furniture forced the pupils to sit on stones or on the floor while attending their classes. Learning was a challenge as the level of discomfort was unbearable. Pupils could not sit well and write properly.
Safaricom Foundation through the National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya (NFDK) handed over 31 lockers and chairs worth KES 129,000.
The new furniture has assured the pupils that learning will be consistent. This is expected to improve the academic scores of the school. Additionally, the new resource has created room for more pupils’ admissions.
