Management of the Foundation

Sanda Ojiambo

Head Of Corporate Responsibility

Sanda is proud of playing a role in an organisation that addresses the gaps between community needs and the required resources. She is proud of the fact that the Foundation provides the opportunity for challenges to be resolved in community driven ways and believes that the solutions to many of the challenges we face lie within us.

Sanda would like to see the Foundation grow into a stronger vehicle for staff participation and community development, and is looking forward to seeing the Foundation work with more strategic partners and other corporate entities to broaden its footprint across the country.

Sanda worked in the field of development in several African countries. She holds Masters degrees in Public Policy and Development Economics.

Eunice Kibathi

Senior Project Officer

Eunice joined Safaricom in 2001 as a Customer Care Representative and when the Foundation was founded in 2003, she made a commitment to volunteer an hour of her day to the Foundation.

“I have always had the love for the community around me and when I joined Safaricom I asked myself what I could do to make a difference.”

One of her activities in support of the Foundation’s work was to mobilise her colleagues support for a children’s home.  From the positive responses she received from her workmates, she realised that even small acts can make a difference. She joined the Foundation in 2008 on a fulltime basis.  Eunice reminds Kenyans that making a difference starts with “each one of us”.

Eunice holds a Diploma in Business Information Systems and is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Social Sciences at the University of Nairobi.
