Market Intelligence

The KRC team included Mercy Ndegwa, Patrick Ngate, Kio Kinuthia and Nelly Githaka. One of the team's key achievements was the implementation of a marketing strategy for the Ambulance Services dubbed E-Plus which was launched on 23rd March 2010 at the Red Court Hotel. The project was undertaken by Nelly who also carried out a market intelligence survey and helped revise the Corporate Mission, Vision and Core Values of E-PLUS (ambulance service).

Cash-for-Work

On his part, Patrick implemented the use of M-PESA for the Cash-for-Work project whereby beneficiaries undertake to rehabilitate community assets like earth dams to improve access to water. They are then paid in cash. Patrick also trained the communities involved and KRC staff on how to run the project.

Emergency Medical Services

Kio Kinuthia led an Emergency Plus ambulance team to the Lewa Marathon to provide emergency medical services to the runners and other participants in the event. The team was comprised of Paramedics and First Aiders. He also set up a sales team and launched a sales strategy for E-plus.

15 Million Shillings

KRC's quest for ISO certification was given a boost by Mercy who outlined and documented the organisation's processes and procedures. She also implemented the networking of regions with the head office and the customization of the business processes onto the ERP system. To fund this initiative she helped raise KSh15 million.
